Photochemistry
I started my research career as an undergraduate in the field of photochemistry under the guidance of Dr. Enrique San Roman. There, I enjoyed measuring the triplet and singlet state quantum yields using a battery of spectroscopic techniques, including laser-induced optoacoustic spectroscopy (LIOAS), diffuse reflectance flash photolysis, and laser-induced luminescence (LIL).
